VOCARE: Anonymous Matching Gift

VOCARE

The Diocese of Owensboro is pleased to announce it has received a matching gift donation for VOCARE 2016.

The donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has agreed to donate $50,000 if the Diocese of Owensboro raises $50,000 in support of VOCARE 2016, the event of the year for the Diocese. This means any donation made to VOCARE from now until the close of the event will be doubled in value, thanks to the generosity of this donor.

“The promotion and sustaining of vocations to priesthood and consecrated life is at the heart of the Church,” said Most Reverend William F. Medley, Bishop of the Diocese of Owensboro.  “We instituted our annual VOCARE celebration to do this. I am most gratified that a generous donor has agreed again to underwrite our efforts and provided a challenge to us. I hope we might surpass their challenge generously.”

Those interested in donating to VOCARE 2016 and doubling their gift in value, can visit the online donation page and select “VOCARE 2016” in the donation designation section located near the bottom of the form.

SistersVOCARE is an event to increase awareness of vocations, celebrate vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life, and provide financial support for seminarian education.
