Theology on Tap – Squinting With One Eye: How HOPE Reveals God

The Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry invites you to a special Advent 2019 Theology on Tap series featuring three dynamic speakers who will guide us through the weeks leading to Christmas. Ages 18-39 welcome! Theology on Tap will be held at Fetta Pizza on St. Ann Street in Owensboro from 6 PM-7:45 PM on December 2, December 9 and December 16. 

On Monday, December 2, we’ll hear from Fr. Will Thompson, associate pastor of Sts. Joseph and Paul Parish in Owensboro, on ““Squinting With One Eye: How HOPE Reveals God.” How do we keep from entertaining despair in the most difficult of times? It is that small Christian virtue of hope that guides us through such difficult times. Hope is that profound encounter with the Word of God, Jesus Christ. Because the Word stands between Hope and despair, it is the guiding point to leads us to see the world with a renewed vision.
