The 2016 theme for the Fortnight for Freedom was “Witnesses to Freedom.” The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) website features stories of men and women from all over the world, who have borne witness to freedom in Christ. Perhaps if we really knew how this precious gift is being defended, and how intent some may be in denying us this gift, we would all be better motivated to stand with these heroes of faith around the world.
