Home missioners whose apostolate is concentrated exclusively within the United States and who are dedicated to bringing the Catholic Church to people who live in the small towns and rural areas of our nation.”

Heralds of Good News (H.G.N.)

Founded in 1984, with the specific aim of promoting vocations to priesthood, training them and eventually sending out saintly and hardworking missionaries to places wherever there is an acute shortage of priests due to the lack of local vocations. At present it has 211 permanently professed members and 745 seminarians at the different levels of formation. The missionaries are at present serving in Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Italy, Guatemala, Uganda, Holland, Tanzania, Kenya and the U.S.A. Besides these they are also working in 22 dioceses in India engaged in various apostolic activities.

Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (M.SS.CC.)

The Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary are a religious missionary institute founded by Blessed Gaetano Errico and approved by Pope Pius IX on August 7, 1846. This is a congregation of priests and brothers, dedicated to serving the needs of God’s family white witnessing the great love present in the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Missionaries are represented in eight nations: Italy, Argentina, USA, India, Slovakia, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Colombia.

Order of Saint Benedict (O.S.B.)

Benedict of Nursia was a monk and abbot who lived in the 5th and 6th century AD. He founded several monasteries and wrote a rule for monasteries which became fundamental for Western Monasticism. The Catholic Church venerates him as Patron of Europe. In 2018 the Benedictine Confederation numbers around 7500 monks in 400 monasteries, belonging to 19 different Congregations, with regional differences, particular missions or specific spiritual traditions. Some 13000 nuns and sisters also belong to the order.
