Training Adults

The Diocese of Owensboro uses an online training program called Shield the Vulnerable. This training program is “dedicated to raising the awareness and prevention of the mistreatment of the vulnerable by training young people and adults about abuse, neglect, predators, bullying, boundaries, respect, and the perils of cyberspace  (http://www.shieldthevulnerable.org/).”

REQUIRED if you have never received our diocesan Safe Environment training OR your last diocesan Safe Environment training was more than five years ago.

If you already have an ID and password for the Shield the Vulnerable site due to an earlier registration, use Adult Login and continue to your course. Otherwise, click on “Adult Signup.” You may contact Molly Thompson in the Office of Safe Environment (270-683-1545, x 353; molly.thompson@pastoral.org) if you have questions regarding the registration process.

The Diocese of Owensboro has policy requirements for activities involving minors or vulnerable adults.
