Year One, the Year of Encounter, is all about encountering Jesus through prayer. When we spend time in prayer, we develop a deeper intimacy with God. Through this deep intimacy, we learn how to respond to the Gospel, thus loving our neighbors and spreading the Good News of God’s mercy and love.
Join us as we encounter Jesus in personal prayer, family prayer, in Scripture prayer and reflection, and in the Eucharist.
“Without prolonged moments of adoration, of prayerful encounter with the word, of sincere conversation with the Lord, our work easily becomes meaningless; we lose energy as a result of weariness and difficulties, and our fervor dies out. The Church urgently needs the deep breath of prayer…”
