By Elizabeth Wong Barnstead, The Western Kentucky Catholic Sister Lucy Bonifas, OSF, became a novice with the Sisters of St. Francis of Tiffin, Ohio, in 1955. Sixty-one years of service later, and only retiring this past January, she has learned that religious life is “very special.”
The Diocese of Owensboro’s Youth 2000 event takes place at a new location this year. Brescia University is currently in the midst of campus renovations, thus placing Youth 2000 at the Owensboro Convention Center for 2016.
