Black Catholic Ministry in the Diocese of Owensboro is dedicated to serving the needs of black Catholics throughout western Kentucky. This includes college scholarship opportunities for African Americans.

Join us for the annual Black Catholic Spring Gathering with Bishop Medley! The Diocese of Owensboro’s annual Black Catholic Spring Gathering with Bishop William F. Medley will be held at Christ the King Parish Hall in Madisonville on Saturday, March 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Continental breakfast and lunch will be served. Come and bring a friend to this celebration of fun and fellowship. Everyone is welcome; all ages, all faiths and all ethnicities. Ethnic attire is welcome. Sales of afro-centric attire, giftware, religious items and youth Bibles will be available at this gathering. Registration and information for the July 6-9 National Black Catholic Congress, which will be held in Orlando, Fla. this year will be completed and finalized at this gathering. There is no cost, but a count for meal preparation is needed. Volunteers are always welcome to greet, assist with prayer and whatever the Holy Spirit moves you to offer. Hope to see you there!
