Black Catholic Ministry in the Diocese of Owensboro is dedicated to serving the needs of black Catholics throughout western Kentucky. This includes college scholarship opportunities for African Americans.

“African American Catholics: Missionary Disciples”

The congress will take place on Saturday, December 9, 2017, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Flaget Retreat Center, Louisville, and is presented by the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry and African American Catholic Ministries. Speakers are Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz of Louisville and Fr. Maurice Nkemefuna Emelu of the Diocese of Orlu in Nigeria. The day includes continental breakfast, lunch, workshops, and more.
