Send: Go & Make Disciples

Leading and Forming

Tuesday, December 1, 2020
10 am – 3 pm

Year Four, the Year of Send, is all about “leading disciples to accept God’s desire to send them on mission.”*  It is about knowing and loving Jesus so much that we cannot keep it to ourselves but we feel the need to share Him with the world! It is by taking our encounter with Jesus into the world that we become missionary disciples.

Pope Francis reminds us that all the baptized are called to be missionary disciples:

“Every Christian is a missionary to the extent that he or she has encountered the love of God in Christ Jesus: we no longer say that we are ‘disciples’ and ‘missionaries,’ but rather that we are always ‘missionary disciples.’” **

Please use the registration form below to attend this Diocesan Virtual Event as we kick-off our fourth year in the Office of Evangelization & Discipleship’s four-year plan entitled, “Living as Missionary Disciples.”  Our theme this year is Send.

Our speaker for this year is Marcel Lejuene.

It would be ideal to view this virtual event on-site at your parish. If you have a small group of 3-6 people, you could use a laptop with a plug-in speaker for your small group. If you have a large group of 7-15, you might consider using a larger room and setting up a screen to view the presentation. For groups of over 15, maybe a gym area or large room could be used. If no one in your parish can help you with this set-up, contact the next closest parish and see if you can join them.
