On December 1, 2020, the Diocese of Owensboro held a Diocesan Virtual Event as we kicked-off our fourth year in the Office of Evangelization & Discipleship’s four-year plan entitled, “Living as Missionary Disciples.” The theme this year is Send. The speaker for this year was Marcel Lejuene.
Due to the nature of a virtual event, we were able to record the event and have made it available to you to either view/listen to the audio or video playlist or download them individually.

Year Four, the Year of Send, is all about “leading disciples to accept God’s desire to send them on mission.”* It is about knowing and loving Jesus so much that we cannot keep it to ourselves but we feel the need to share Him with the world! It is by taking our encounter with Jesus into the world that we become missionary disciples.
Pope Francis reminds us that all the baptized are called to be missionary disciples:
“Every Christian is a missionary to the extent that he or she has encountered the love of God in Christ Jesus: we no longer say that we are ‘disciples’ and ‘missionaries,’ but rather that we are always ‘missionary disciples.’” **
