The word VOCARE is Latin for, “to call; to summon.” In our diocese, VOCARE is…
… a celebration to increase awareness of vocations, celebrate vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life, and provide financial support for seminarian education;
… the event of the year for our Diocese;
… an opportunity for laity, religious and clergy alike to gather from across western Kentucky for an evening of good food and great fellowship.
This year’s event was a huge event with 58 tables sold, representing a large portion of the Diocese of Owensboro.
Our keynote speaker was Andy Day, Owensboro native and southeast regional director of the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS).
A video was created to introduce you to our five seminarians and show where they attend for their priesthood formation.
