People of Hope

Coming to Owensboro July 26th, 27th and 28th

Immerse yourself in stories of service from around the Catholic Charities nationwide network, tell your own story of someone who gives you hope, and get the facts about how poverty affects your neighbors and your community. Then learn about volunteer opportunities in your area so you, too, can become a person of hope and make a difference in your own life and someone else’s.

We are proud to bring this unique, national experience to Owensboro, it will be located in front of the Owensboro Convention Center. Tickets to get into the museum are not necessary. As you will see below each day will have a theme associated with the day’s events.

Help Us Honor Exceptional Service!

Is there a group or individual in your life who defines the word “selfless”? Our community is fueled by volunteers who provide help and create hope every single day, often behind the scenes.

The Providing Help, Creating Hope Award was established to recognize those within the Diocese of Owensboro who go above and beyond typical parish involvement to serve others. If you know someone whose work and deeds reflect the true virtue of charity, we want to hear their story. Deadline for nominations is June 30, 2026.
