Here at Catholic Charities, we provide a lifeline through crisis and a path toward stability. From immediate disaster relief and addressing food insecurity to providing long-term immigration legal services, homelessness prevention, and counseling assistance program, our work puts the “Option for the Poor and Vulnerable” into direct action.
By distributing comprehensive resource booklets and actively supporting fellow nonprofits, we foster community solidarity and ensure that the most marginalized have the information and collaborative care necessary to thrive. Across our 32-county diocese, we provide the spiritual, financial, and emotional support that helps our neighbors move from crisis to hope.
This July, a national spotlight will be on Owensboro, when we bring the People of Hope Museum here. And yes, we want you to be a sponsor for the Gala, but we also invite you to be part of the 3-day event. From July 26 – 28, 2026, Owensboro will host the CCUSA People of Hope Museum, a traveling exhibit celebrating stories of service from across the country. The weekend culminates on Sunday evening, July 26th, with our Providing Help, Creating Hope “dress for Less” Gala at the Owensboro Convention Center. (Everyone must wear something bought second hand: thrifty and sustainable!)
We are honoring nine volunteers, from each of our regions through Western Kentucky, who represent the “hands and feet” of our region. This will be a night of stories filled with hope and gives us the opportunity to lift up the wonderful volunteers and agencies we have in our community. By sponsoring this event, you will is directly investing in local social works that:

• Support advocacy and community health.
