Consecration to St. Joseph in the Year of St. Joseph
On February 24, 2021, the Diocese of Owensboro brought Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, to the diocese via a Zoom meeting. His presentation, Consecration to St. Joseph in the Year of St. Joseph, was recorded and is available below. You may find Fr. Calloway’s book, Consecration to St. Joseph: The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father | Marians of the Immaculate Conception, available for purchase.
For the first time in the 2,000-year history of Christianity, the Catholic Church is celebrating a Year of St. Joseph! It began on December 8, 2020 and ends on December 8, 2021. In this talk, Fr. Calloway will unpack what this means and how we can take advantage of this special year and consecrate ourselves to St. Joseph. There is a strong movement of renewed devotion to St. Joseph taking place in the Church today and Fr. Calloway will inspire you to want to get to know and love St. Joseph, your spiritual father, in a deeper and more profound way.
Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, a convert to Catholicism, is a member of the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. Before his conversion to Catholicism, he was a high school dropout who had been kicked out of a foreign country, institutionalized twice, and thrown in jail multiple times. After his radical conversion he earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, M.Div. and S.T.B. degrees from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC, and an S.T.L. in Mariology from the International Marian Research Institute in Dayton, Ohio.
