Mang, Rev. John Paul: * In residence at Holy Spirit Parish in Bowling Green due to a change in immigration status. Effective July 21, 2026.
*Because of a recent court decision suspending the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) of individuals from Burma (Myanmar), Fr. Stephen and Fr. John Paul are ineligible to be employed. An additional hardship for Fr. Stephen is the inability to renew his driver’s license, which is now expired, making ministry to three rural parishes virtually impossible. Both priests are in the country legally and in complete compliance with immigration law. They are permitted to remain in the US but cannot be employed for the time being. This court ruling has necessitated the change from an active assignment to “living in residence”.
