Eucharistic Revival Gathering

December 6, 2022 |10-2 PM|
Owensboro Convention Center

For the three-year Eucharistic Revival initiative launched this past June, the American bishops called for first year events to be focused on the level of the “local Church”—that is the diocesan level.  On Tuesday, December 6th, pastors and their staffs, as well as school principals, will meet together at a Eucharistic Revival Gathering at the Owensboro Convention Center (501 West Second Street).  From 10:00-2:00 p.m., ministers will experience a time of reflection on the mystery of Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist.  Fr. Connor Danstrom, a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago, will guide the primary ministers of our parishes and schools through a day of prayer, reflection and sharing on the One whose sacramental Presence we have encountered, reverenced, lived and shared here among the People of God in Western Kentucky.

As an option, for those who wish to spend the day steeped in this Mystery, participants are invited to join Bishop Medley at 8:00 a.m. Mass at St. Stephen Cathedral (610 Locust Street) to be followed by a half hour of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.  In public witness to the Presence which has nourished us at the Lord’s table and been a refuge and comfort for us in the reserved Sacrament, we will process four blocks from the Cathedral to the Convention Center and enter the events of the day with the Church’s Morning Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

There is no cost for this event.  Lunch will be provided.  To register, use the form below.  Further information will be provided once you have registered for the day.  Please register by Monday, November 28.
