Year of Mercy

Bishop William F. Medley opened the Holy Door of Mercy at St. Stephen Cathedral on December 13 as the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy began.

New St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church

Bishop Medley, Fr. Frank Ruff, Deacon Heriberto Rodriguez, Ed and Dorothy Slack, along with a whole crowd, gathered at the new location of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Todd County, KY.

Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities services include adoptions assistance for birth mothers and couples seeking to adopt; counseling resources for individuals, couples and families; St. Gerard Life Home – a home for those experiencing a crisis pregnancy and have chosen life for their baby.

New Priests Ordained

Reverend Basilio Az Cuc and Reverend James Dennis, Jr. were ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Owensboro on Saturday, May 28, 2016 in St. Stephen Cathedral to a standing room only crowd. Pictures from the event are available.



The Diocese of Owensboro is hosting VOCARE 2016 on September 23 at the Owensboro Convention Center. VOCARE celebrates vocations, priesthood and consecrated life. We hope you can join us!
